THE GAY MOVEMENT AND THE MYSTERY OF HISTORY
By Jude Watchman Oguta

All hell broke loose in far away Middle East, four millennia ago, when a group of practicing homosexuals attempted to gang rape angels in a bid to practicing their right to ‘alternative lifestyle’. It was the first gay movement in recorded history, setting - Sodom. The English word ‘sodomy’ is an etymological offshoot of that incidence. Apparently, these dare-devils (or rather dare-angels), had clamored for ‘gay rights’ before taking it a step further- outright lawlessness.

Fast forward forty centuries later, history has come to repeat itself - this time in the Western world as the sodomites in the United States have been militantly demanding not just to do whatever they wish to do behind closed doors, but, more importantly, that society fully accept their lifestyle as both healthy and normal, even demanding special rights and legislation as an "oppressed minority." Already the United States, have legalized gay marriages in all the states. The church is not spared this gross pervasion as many gay couples are being wedded and ordained into ministry in some circles. What the Bible says should not even be mentioned amongst believers has suddenly become the major ‘matters arising’.

Though this write up will be in series to expose the devils plan in the gay agenda, this first chapter is geared towards making us learn from history lest we repeat the mistakes of history.

The Purpose of History
An African proverb says that the words of our elders are words of wisdom, all philosophers that have ever studied history come up with one conclusion that history repeats itself sometimes in mysterious ways that it seemed the same tape of the past is put on replay. This is a mystery that empirical science can not explain- a clear indication that science does not hold all the answers as many would want us to believe. So, let us hear what some philosophers and wise men said about history.
The first man to notice this historic similarities of events was Solomon. In about 1,000 BC, Solomon observed that
History merely repeats itself. It has all been done before. Nothing under the sun is truly new.1

Machiavelli, the well known Italian philosopher wrote in his Discorsi:
Whoever considers the past and the present will readily observe that all cities and all peoples... ever have been animated by the same desires and the same passions; so that it is easy, by diligent study of the past, to foresee what is likely to happen in the future in any republic, and to apply those remedies that were used by the ancients, or not finding any that were employed by them, to devise new ones from the similarity of events. 2

Paul, while commenting on biblical histories as embedded in The Old Testament, gave us the purpose of history
“For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.” 3

G.W. Trompf notes that most western concepts of historic recurrence imply that "the past teaches lessons for... future action" — that "the same... sorts of events which have happened before... will recur..." 4
The Spanish-American philosopher George Santayana observed that
"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."5

Which begs the question whether those who can remember are not doomed, anyway, to be swept along by the majority who cannot.
The Bible and the lessons of history
In the Bible, events of the New Testament are just the Old Testament stories repeated. Paul calls the Old Testament a shadow of events that will later show up in history6. So the New Testament is the substance of the Old Testament stories

For instance, when Jesus carried a WOODen cross up a HILL (Mt. Calvary) to be crucified as a sacrifice7, he was only repeating(substantiating) the Old Testament story of Isaac carrying a fireWOOD up a HILL (Mt. Moriah) to be used as a sacrifice by his father8. The same with other stories of Jesus and of the New Testament-they are most times a repetition of the Old Testament.

That’s why Paul admonished us to learn from the stories of the Old Testament because they throw up again and again in history. One of those stories that has resurfaced in our time is the story of the homosexuals of Sodom. There are lots of lessons to glimpse from it, let’s see…

The Gay Movement: A Historic Recurrence
A gay pride parade in Toronto, Canada.
At the risk of being branded superstitious in my numerological style of Bible interpretation, I’d want to point out the remarkable mysterious link number 19 and the gay movement share in history. It was in Genesis 19 that the incidence in Sodom happened, in Judges 19 there was a repeat of that history but in a different location(Israel) and in the 19th century, we started witnessing a resurrection of that history. Go and study Judges 19 that happened in Israel (the Church) along Genesis 19 that had happened in Sodom(the World) and how these two events relate to the gay movement we find in government and even the church of today. Notice the similarity between the plot of the two stories(Gen 19 & Judges 19)

1.       Both took place in chapter 19
2.       In both cases, a stranger came into a city late. A resident of the city (Lot in Gen 19 and an anonymous old man in Judges 19) found them on the street  and offers to lodge them for the night 9
3.       The homosexuals of the city came to forcefully sleep with the strangers. 10
4.       The hosts suggested their daughters as alternatives 11
5.       Both hosts called homosexuality a vile and wicked act 12
6.       Both stories had an interplay of Hospitality and Hostility
Whoever tells you that history does not repeat itself has neither studied the Bible nor history. From the above analysis of the similarity in the operation of the gay movement it is easy to identify when this version of homosexuals (a militant and aggressive group with an unrestrained urge to practice their act) show up again in history:

Weird Connections Between two past American Presidents- Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy
Apart from biblical examples, there are many other secular history that have repeated themselves over the years. Check out this connection I saw online about two past American presidents:
-Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846.
-John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.
-Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860.
John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960.
-The names Lincoln and Kennedy each contain seven letters.
-Both were particularly concerned with civil rights.
-Both wives lost their children while living in the White House.
-Both Presidents were shot on a Friday.
-Both Presidents were shot in the head.
-Lincoln's secretary was named Kennedy.
-Kennedy's secretary was named Lincoln.
-Both were assassinated by Southerners.
-Both were succeeded by Southerners.
-Both successors were named Johnson.
-Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, was born in 1808.
-Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908.
-John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln, was born! ! in 1839.
Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939.
-Both assassins were known by their three names.
-Both names are composed of fifteen letters.
-Lincoln was shot at the theater named 'Kennedy.'
-Kennedy was shot in a car called 'Lincoln.'
-Booth ran from the theater and was caught in a warehouse.
-Oswald ran from a warehouse and was caught in a theater.
-Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials.
And here's the kicker...
-A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe, Maryland.
-A week before Kennedy was shot, he was with Marilyn Monroe.

The History of The Recent Gay Movement
According to secular history, homosexuality has always existed throughout history but the gay movement only started in the 19th Century. Bible student know better than that at least from studying Genesis 19 and judges 19. The secular history goes this way

Date-line Germany
In 1869, German same-sex devotees created the term “homosexual”, seemingly more neutral and “scientific” than pejorative terms like “sodomite”. They claimed they were born with women’s souls inside men’s bodies (“Fems”), which supposedly made them unable either to respond sexually to women or to control their urges toward other men 13. As Foucault put it, “the sodomite had been a temporary aberration; the homosexual was a species”.14 That same year, the first psychiatric study of homosexuality appeared. It advocated the replacement of criminal penalties for homosexual behavior with medical treatment,15 thus acknowledging that such behavior was undesirable, but indicating that same-sex choices were not completely under an individual’s control. This transformed lawless behavior, for which people are fully responsible, into illness-evoked activity, with reduced or absent responsibility.

Homosexuality grew rapidly in Germany over the following decades such that in 1922, a Berlin police commissioner wrote that “homosexualist groups have been steadily on the increase in recent decades, especially in the big cities… They are closely banded together and even have their own [news] paper”.16
That is the genesis of the Genesis 19 Homosexual version being replayed (closely banded together as in Sodom), let the wise understand

Date-line United States

In the United States, homosexuality was considered an illness or perversion until 1973, when the American Psychiatric Association decided to remove homosexuality from its list of ‘mental disorders,’ without ‘morally judging’ it as sin or crime. Thus, homosexuality could be seen as an acceptable alternate lifestyle. The definitional change helped to make homosexuality, once a felony, respectable. 17

American concepts and attitudes about homosexuality have changed significantly in recent decades. Most of society and the medical profession now view it as an acceptable alternate lifestyle: a biologically determined, permanent “orientation,” rather than a learned, experiential, and often changeable choice.

The concept of homosexuality as a permanent ‘orientation’ is, however, without scientific validation; the notion is entirely politically grounded (In the Part 3 of this write up I will explain) One effect of this new view has been to understate the medical and societal harm produced by the promiscuous sexual practices typically associated with homosexuality.

Homosexuality in the Church
Very few churches in the Western World today come right out and affirm homosexuality as official church teaching. There are a few, though, which do. Note that Genesis 19 of Sodom (the World) happened before Judges 19 of Israel (the Church)-the same pattern the homosexuality of our time is taken, starting in the world and ending in the Church. Lot was a righteous man living in Sodom but vexed with their lewdness. That is how the Church frowned at homosexuality at the onset but gradually started tolerating it and even given scriptural backing it. Some ‘Christians’ claim that David had a homosexual relationship with Jonathan since the Bible says that their love was more than that a man can have for a woman. 18 Paul counted homosexuality as a sin that not only them that do it that will go to hell but even those that support the perpetrators.19

The Lessons From Sodom
This write up is in series and this first series only discusses the gay movement as it relates to history not. If Genesis 19 and Judges 19 are happening right before our eyes, what should we do? First of all we should understand that we are in the last days when the Bible says that men will be without natural affection.20 Heterosexuality is a natural affection, but the spirit of the Last Days comes with a homosexual crave - or rather craze. There is a spirit of homosexuality that is pervading the land and even ministers of the Gospel are not spared.
The Bible in the New Testament warns us to learn from the Sodom story, lest we repeat the mistakes of history:
“And sent destruction on Sodom and Gomorrah, burning them up with fire as an example to those whose way of life might in the future be unpleasing to Him”2 Peter 2:6-Emphasis added
“In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire. Jude vs 7
“Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience.Hebrews 4:11
To the Great America, the world’s only superpower Jesus says
“And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted up to the skies? No, you will go down to the depths. If the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Sodom, it would have remained to this day.21
If I should paraphrase Jesus in the light of the recent America’s homosexual craze, I’d say that if the miracles that the Great revivals brought to America were done in Sodom, probably they would have repented and remained. America suffered a major attack by September 11, I believe that was a warning. Like Sodom, it was like fire and brimstone fallen from heaven – the sky.
From the lessons of history, we can see that homosexuality is history revisited and we should therefore learn from the example of Sodom. In our next posts, we shall be examining the Gay Movement and the Anti Christ agenda. We shall see how the world has gradually prepared the ground for the emergence of the anti Christ.
